Sound Tone Generator does not require an account, microphone access, or audio upload. Playback and WAV generation run in your browser.
Settings stored on your device
The site may store your last frequency, waveform, channel, timer, and a settings version in this browser’s local storage. Volume and playback state are not saved. Reset clears these settings.
Shared links
If you choose Share, the link contains the committed frequency, waveform, channel, and stop timer. Opening that link sends those query values in the page request so the settings can load. Cloudflare Worker observability is configured to redact query strings. The site does not send the full shared URL to Google Analytics.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and product actions. Page views use the canonical page path. Product events may include only:
- Playback attempts, starts, failures by error type, and stops by reason and duration range.
- Preset selections by preset ID and note-picker use by action type.
- Share method and result.
- WAV export duration, waveform, channel, or error type.
Analytics events do not include typed frequency values, volume, free text, audio samples, or the full shared URL. Google may process standard analytics information such as browser and device details when the analytics tag is enabled.
Service providers
The site is served through Cloudflare Workers. Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google. This site does not use Stripe or payment processing.
